With a large sign of relief, we completed our final walk through of the project at Erie on the Park in Chicago’s River North. The priming and finish painting of the exterior steel beams was completed on budget, ahead of schedule. Advance scheduling and consistent communication allowed me to be prepared and made my job easier. The project was moved forward as quickly and safely as possible, keeping the inconvenience to the residents to a minimum throughout the four month process.

Although the task was challenging, all of the requirements of the paint process were fulfilled and the end result is a welcome upgrade. Given the unique design of our building, the mobilization was a tremendous obstacle as the number of scaffolding and swing stage changes was likely four times what a similar size structure would total. Without hesitation, I recommend Finishing Chicago professionals to handle your building’s facade, painting or restoration needs.

A sight to behold, this beautiful 120,000 sq. foot structure was built to LEED Platinum specifications and houses over 225 employees. The glass-enclosed atrium is the focal point of the building, and the end result is a stunning work of art. “The Designers wanted the structured steel to have the look of extruded aluminum. Using technology borrowed from a car finishing company, the Finishing Chicago Contractor abraded, painted, finished, sprayed and sealed to get the desired look.”
