Program Details

The St. Paul’s Painters Pre-Apprenticeship Program requires hard work and dedication and is designed for young men and women interested in the construction trades who seek direction, discipline, and a pathway to a sustainable career.  Expectations are shared during and throughout the application and program interview process which helps determine program readiness and willingness to transform their mindset through the program

The program’s curriculum expectations are clear and have been designed for those who seek direction, discipline, and a pathway to a sustainable career in the construction trades

• Currently there are two cohorts a year. The team is hoping to expand to 4 cohorts in the future with additional partners and funding
• The program lasts 12 weeks, Monday through Friday
• Prerequisites include a high school diploma or GED, reliable transportation and a strong commitment and interest in construction, also drug free

Who Should Apply?

• Individuals who are passionate about construction, ready to meet union expectations, and committed to personal growth
• All participants sign a contract that outlines expectations for participation
• The current cohort started on July 7, 2025; the next cohort will begin in fall
